The Hound of
Thornfield High

COMING SOON!

The Hound of Thornfield High is a contemporary retelling of Charlotte Brontë’s beloved classic, Jane Eyre, for a young adult audience.

Jane Eyre, seventeen, Michigander, is a student at Thornfield High. Ready for an adventurous senior year with her best friend, Helen Burns, Jane is quickly unmoored by Eddie Rochester, a new student who matriculates when Thornfield High merges with Milcott High. Unfortunately for Jane, Eddie is already dating Bertha Mason.

And when the relationship between Eddie and Bertha sours, Eddie begins chasing the beautiful Blanche Ingram. To further complicate Jane’s heart, the shy but sweet SJ Rivers confesses feelings for her, too. Meanwhile, Jane uncovers a secret that jeopardizes everything she thought she understood about her family.

This is Jane’s story, adapted for younger readers and told in our contemporary world of cell phones, text messages, and social media. It’s the story of a resilient and independent woman on a journey to uncover who she is and discover what she truly wants.
