I do that – take a line from a song as a nugget for a story. And I people watch. Oh I love writing prompts and I always look at pictures. Good to know I’m doing this right. I had EXACTLY this conversation – the children in the school asked what the point was of us talking through the storyline? I would ask them what the problem was, etc. I had to prove to them that every single one of them would write the same story. Trouble is, I cannot write short stories – I’m too verbose – as both of you know!
