Revenge Baking
For Grace Redding, seventh grade is a Greek tragedy. She is surrounded by enemies and betrayal — just like a tragic heroine in a play. Ever since sixth grade, Grace has been a loner, putting up with the meanest middle school queen and her court: Amanda and the A’s. Everything changes when Grace meets Harley, the new boy in school with a unique personality. They engage in a war of words, fighting against the A’s and their unjust rules. When the opportunity to participate in a baking competition arrives, Grace seizes the chance to win. With lessons from her beloved Gran, advice from witty cookbook author Athena Manderley, and perspective from Harley, Grace sets out to win the biggest competition in Tradersburg baking history and defeat the A’s for good. But, on the road to revenge, Grace discovers that getting even can leave a bitter taste. She must decide if capturing the Tradersburg Business Association’s Baking Competition title is worth letting her tragic flaws win.
